What is Alpha?

Alpha is a weekly course that jumps into various topics of Christianity and what faith looks like in different people’s lives.

Is there more to life than this? What’s my purpose in life? Why do people pray when things get tough?

Alpha is a chance to ask these questions and explore the Christian faith in a fun, no-pressure, down-to-earth environment. Each session includes a short film that looks at a different question about faith and is designed to create conversation.

Everyone’s welcome.

The best conversations are open, everyone’s thoughts are welcome, no matter your background or beliefs. We all bring different thoughts to the table, and at Alpha we want to create a space that’s open for everyone to find what faith means for them!

All on your terms.

Alpha is a safe space, which means that you can decide whether to stay, go, share or just listen. We’d love to see you.

We think that everyone should have the chance to explore, ask questions, and share their point of view.

Alpha is completely free - including a meal each week!

How does Alpha work?

Each evening will have three key elements:

1: CONNECTION 😀
We start every evening with a time to catch up and chat with others over dinner.

2: TALK 💡
Each session includes a 30-minute film. These films explore the big questions of life and unpack the basics of the Christian faith, addressing questions from Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith? to Why and how do I pray? and How does God guide us?

3: DISCUSSION 💬
One of the most important parts of any Alpha: the chance to share your thoughts and questions about the topic, and discuss in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say.
